Tata Safari Merlin launch on the cards

Tata Motors will be soon debut Tata Safari Merlin in replacement to Tata Safari. The new SUV will defy the existing competitor such as the Mahindra Scorpio and the Force Motors SUV. Tata Safari Merlin will be radically different with the major design changes that would be incorporated to the front and rear fascia. It is studded with 2.2 litre DICOR engine along with dual mass flywheel and a better gearbox , the maximum power is supposed to be 140 Bhp @ 4000 rpm and will offer the torque of about 320 Nm @ 1700 rpm. The look of Tata Safari Merline will be refreshed to make it look more sturdy and strong. The headlight and tail-light clusters are also the regions to be reworked. The interiors of Tata Safari Merlin is expected to take a cue from Aria.

Tata Safari
The company is also handling the testing 4 X 4 version of the Tata Aria that is expected to be out in next six month with Tata Aria price tag of 13-14 lakh rupees suggested to compete with Toyota Innova. The only way to separate Tata Aria (4X 4) and Tata Aria (4 X 2) is the functionality of 4x4 and the price difference between the models.

Tata Safari
If Tata Aria (4 X 2) takes on higher variants of the Innova by keeping Tata Safari Merlin in the same price range as the Mahindra Scorpio and make the Tata Aria 4×4 version compete with the forthcoming Mahindra World SUV. So in order to recapture lost share in the UV market Tata Motors have to plan the pricing strategy of the three models (Aria 4X4, Aria 4×2 and Safari Merlin) thought well.

The French auto giant is also in new these days for the eagerly awaited launch of Renault Fluence on May 23. Renault Fluence price is expected to be around 13 lakhs.
